Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit this site. They help us improve your experience and understand how the site is used.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, Turkey or Quebec, everything except the strictly necessary is off until you switch it on. Elsewhere, analytics and functional cookies are on from your first visit, unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, which keeps analytics off. Wherever you are, you can change that at any time from Cookie preferences in the footer.

07Managing cookies
Our cookie bar
Where the law asks for your consent first — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, Turkey and Quebec — the bar at the foot of the page appears on your first visit and lets you accept or refuse the optional categories, and refusing is one press, in the same row, the same size as accepting. Your choice is remembered. Cookie preferences in the footer reopens it, because consent you cannot withdraw as easily as you gave it is not consent.
Elsewhere the bar does not appear, and Cookie preferences in the footer opens the same choices, so switching analytics off is one press away. We tell which applies from the country your connection comes from, as our hosting provider reports it with each request; we do not store it. If it cannot be told, the bar appears.

08Updates to this policy
When a cookie is added or removed the tables above change and the date at the top changes with them. A new category is never switched on by the change: it arrives off, like every other optional one.
